The “capital” of the free commons located on Lake Levir, Spire is named for the enormous stone tower at its center. The tower was considered old by dwarven standards when the city was planned and built around it. Spire is sparsely populated for most of the year, but fills with people through the summer season leading up to the council meetings in early fall.
Spire is a walled city divided into four “slices”- the Trade district, Hospitality district, Garden district, and Housing district. There is also an extensive dock and warehouse district along the shores of the lake. Recently a mansion has been built on an island just off shore, touted as an “Adventurers Guild” it serves as a meeting point for those who specialize in exploration and those who have specific problems that require solving.
Steward Tormund Cain serves as the mayor of Spire and represents its interests during council meetings.
